President
of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has described the
New Kelamandu Locality in North Darfur State as a good model for
peaceful co-existence, the unity of rank and cohesion of the
social fabric. This came in his address Saturday to a mass rally
at New Kelamandu Locality, in the context of his visit to North
Darfur State. President Al-Bashir lauded the unique experiment
and customs of Darfur people in solving disputes and
reconciliations. .He affirmed the government was keen to reach
peace through the recent negotiations in Abuja, which culminated
in the signing of Darfur peace agreement, praising the citizens
who joined the peace process. He pointed out that the government
has worked out a special strategy for the rehabilitation and
development of Darfur. President Al-Bashir inaugurated new
establishments in Kelamandu Locality, including its hospital,
Wadaa hospital, the courts' premises, Kelamandu health
quarantine, an hotel, the Guest House and the road linking
between Al-Fasher - Sagal-Ni'am - Wadaa - Kelamandu, at the cost
of 10 million dollars. President Al-Bashir pointed out that the
government has awarded the businessman Siddiq Wadaa the Order of
Faithful Son of Sudan in recognition of his efforts to transfer
Kelamandu from a village into a town. Meanwhile, the Wali
(governor) of North Darfur State, Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir,
also lauded the role of the businessman Siddiq Wadaa for
development of Kelamandu town. The Commissioner of Kelamandu
Locality, Ibarhim Adam Abdalla, said that the citizens at the
locality are living in peace and accord and have no tribal
disputes. He called on the President of the Republic to boost
the establishment of Sagal-Ni'am - Wadaa - Kelamandu road,
appreciating the contribution of the businessman Siddiq Wadaa to
the development in Kelamandu Locality
